Explain how the sperm cell meet the egg.

How can they survive to the low pH environment of vagina for a short period of time? How do they know the location of the egg cell? How long does it take for the sperm to reach an egg? Why are they competing? What will happen to those sperm cells who failed to reach the egg?

the sperm cell meet the egg when the boy and the girl having sexual intercourse to each other and if the boy release his sperm cell to the girls vagina then the sperm cell meet the egg and it goes and swam to the uterus then going to the fallopian tube  then it will fertilized and the girl will be pregnant....this process its called a meiosis.and as i have read there is only 1 sperm cell to be fertilized..they are excited in swimming and the sperms cell want to go into the finishing line the egg..then in 9 months the sperm release will born into a baby

When the penis is inserted into the female vagina, the semen is ejaculated or released containing the sperms. The sperm moves through the vagina passing through the cervix, uterus, and on into the body of the uterus. The sperm travels from the uterus to the fallopian tube where fertilization occurs.

Cervical mucus is basic just prior to the time of ovulation when the cervical glands producing the mucus reacts to the predominance of circulating estrogen to make mucus that is more abundant, more stretchy, less cellular, less thick, higher in pH, and composed of strands that are aligned to allow greater sperm penetration

The sperm use heat sensors to find the egg cell. Because they pass to the uterus, the sperm cell enters the fallopian tube. Once the sperm is inside the fallopian tube, they attach themselves to the wall and pause. While the sperm is undergoing to its maturation process during pausing, it generally prepares them for penetrating the egg.

In millions of sperm they are said to be racing each other to the finish, but the sperm have different roles. Some are classified as the leaders of the pack, trying to be the first to cross the line. Others are designed to assist or support, especially by blocking other sperm cell from making it to the finish line. The goal of pregnancy, of course, is for a sperm to find an egg during a precise window of opportunity and fertilize it.

It takes about two hours to make the entire journey to the egg.  The sperm cells that are unsuccessful die and are excreted or are absorbed by the body.

          In my own point of view, based on the researched I made, I found out that there are almost 400 million sperm cells released by the testes during ejaculation. And only one of those tends to meet the egg cell for fertilization.
          The sperm cell cannot survive in the vagina when it will stay longer. Only two to six hours is needed in order to successfully reach the egg cell. That’s why a sperm cell when ejaculated must increase their pH level in order to survive in the acidity of the vagina. This is the only way to which the sperm cell can survive.
           With due process,the sperm cell after reaching the vagina; they enter at the cervix, pass through the uterus and lastly enter the fallopian tube to which they know where an egg cell is located.
           The sperm cell can reach the egg cell at the fallopian tube whenever ovulation occurs. When the woman has its ovulation, the egg cell prepares itself to meet the sperm cell or vice versa.
           The sperm cells tend to compete with each other upon reaching the egg because only a single sperm cell is accepted during fertilization once the head of the sperm enters the egg cell.
            When the sperm cell fails to reach the egg cell they will die and eliminated into the body via menstruation.

The sperm cell can survive to the low pH  environment of vagina for a short period of time if it can immediately meet the egg or can pass immediately.But  ussualy  the sperm cell cannot survive because it has to be a increased pH for normal sperm cell function , so if the vagina or the environment of the vagina has low pH  ussualy the sperm cell cannot survive. The normal pH is 3.5 to 4.5 and if it doesn't reach a pH  within this range the movement of the sperm cell is not optimal.

The sperm cell will know the location of egg cell if they are starting passing the uterine tube, uterine tube is a tube or a passage that will lead to the ovary which is the one produces egg cell and it is the site also where sperm and egg cell meet.

If a woman and a man have done a sexual intercourse , the male releases million of sperm cell that begun finding the egg and it is not a easy journey for them because the fastest swimmer may find egg for 45 minutes and the slowest may extend until 12 hours.

The sperm cell is competing because the sperm cell that can first reach the egg cell will be the one who can able to live and develop and become a human being. The sperm cell who  will failed reaching the egg will actually die.

        The sperm "swim" up to the fallopian tubes of the woman and if her egg is released from the ovary for her time of the month, the egg and sperm join in the fallopian tube and travel down to the uterus and implants itself into the wall there until the fetus is born.Sperm swim vigorously in the direction of extracts from various female reproductive organs, especially ovaries.The sperm cell know the location of the egg cell when the sperm cell and egg releases a type of chemicals known as gamones called gynogamones and androgamones respectively. these are like attractant and species specific. like antigen antibody. the sperms are reached towards eggs by this attraction.Sperm, in the vagina, can only survive about six hours due to the acidic vaginal secretions.The egg white consistency of the cervical mucus helps the sperm move more easily through the vagina to the cervix, increasing the chance that the sperm will be in the correct location for fertilization to occur.
 
         For me, the sperm can reach the egg for about 10 hours but there is no exact time or days for the sperm to reach the egg because it depends to the body of a woman.The sperm cells competing to reach the egg because they know that only one can unite with the egg.For those sperm cells who failed to meet the egg will destroyed or die after their period of time.

          After the sperm cell is being ejaculated, they must increase their pH level so that they can survive in the low pH or the acidity of vagina for a short period of time.
          As what I have read from some nursing books, sperm cells uses heat sensors to find the egg cell. Sperm cells are being guided to the fertilization site by temperature because the area  where the egg cell lies is warmer than the area where the sperm cells make a pause in their way through the female genital part such as fallopian tube.  
          It depends upon how fast the sperm cell travels in order to reach the egg cell, but for me, it should take about one and a half hours for the sperm cell to reach the egg. In some cases, it takes about 2 to 6 hours, although there is tendency that it may not reach the egg cell at all.
          Sperm cells compete with each other in order to reach the egg cell because there is only one sperm that is intended to enter an egg cell during fertilization and this would be developed in to a human being.
          Those sperms that are not fortunate enough to reach or enter the egg will die and be released through menstruation.

Seminal plasma provides the sperm cells with nutritive and protective medium during their journey through the female reproductive system. Since the normal environment of the vagina is a hostile one for sperm cells, the components of the seminal plasma attempt to compensate the acidic environment. Basic amines such as putrescine, spermine, spermidine and cadaverine counteract the acidic environment of the vagina and protect the DNA from acidic denaturation.

The swimming ability of the sperm and the muscular contractions of the uterus and the uterine tubes guide the these cells to the egg. Sperms are also guided by the temperature. The site where the egg lies is slightly warmer. Sperm cells use this temperature difference during their navigation.

The sperm would take 10 hours to reach the egg. If the sperm reaches to slow, it depends on the body of the woman.

Sperm competition is a concept defined as “competition between sperm of two or more males for the fertilization of an ovum.” This concept is compared to having “raffle tickets.” From this concept, I conluded that the more the sperm are being insiminated, high chances the fertilization will occur.

Sperm cells who failed to reach the egg will eventually die.

It happens during male and female having sexual intercourse. During the sexual intercourse, sperms from the penis are released into the cervix then swim up the fallopian tube. then, that's how the sperm meets the egg. One penetrates the egg, and the outer of the egg locks out the sperm cell. Then the nucleus combines the DNA of the egg in order to create or form zygote ..

Sperms can survive for a short period of time in a low PH environment of vagina by going/ passing through the egg directly. Of course they'll know the location by passing through the fallopian tube.

It depends on how far the sperms are deposited. If the sperms are being released closely to the cervix, the sperms will have less travel to do or should i say less time to travel. It takes an hour or around 30 minutes for the sperm cells to reach their goal.
I think it's about survival on why do the sperm cells are competing. And I think, there is only one egg cell that's why they have to compete. They compete to reach the ovum in order for them to be develop end have life. Unfortunately, to those sperm cells who failed to reach the egg, will die.

The sperm cell meet the egg cell when two individuals having sexual intercourse and the egg cell and the sperm cell will go the fallopian tube where the fertization begin..

They can survive because the mucus produced by the vaginal lining that has a rich glycogen content. when this glycogen broken down by the lactose fermenting bacteria that frequent the vagina, lactic acid as formed. This make the usual pH of the vagina acid, a condition detrimental to the growth of pathologic bacteria so that even though the vagina connects directly to the external surface, infection is not usually present.

They are competing because only one cell can enter into the egg cell and when there are more sperm cell there should be an abnormality to the formed fetus.

It takes 72 hours (48hours before ovulation plus 24 hours afterward)

all of the spermatozoa that achieve capacitation reach the ovum and cluster around the protective layer of corona cell. hyluronidase is apparently released by spermatozoa and act to dissolve the layer of cells protecting the ovum. it is believed that an ejaculation contains large numbers of sperm to provide enough enzymes to dissolve the corona cells.

         The sperm cells can survive from the low pH of vagina in short of period of time its all because of the semen that secrets by both male and female reproductive system so that they can swim through out the uterine tube where fertilization occur.
         The swimming ability of sperm cells and the muscular contractions of the uterus and uterine tubes are responsible for the movement of sperm cells through the female reproductive tract thats why the sperm cell know where the egg cell located.
         It takes 6 hours for the sperm cells to reach an egg cell.
         The sperm cells competing each other because only one sperm cell can enter the egg cell for the fertilization process.
         The sperm cell who failed reaching the egg cell will die because sperm cell cannot tolerate normal body temperature of the body and also the acidity of the vagina.

during sexual intercourse the semen is ejaculated to the vagina will go to the fallopian tube where the egg cell and sperm cell meet and a new living organism will occurs.
they cannot survive if there is only low pH level in the vagina they need a high pH level when ejaculated to be able to survive in the vagina.
they use the heat sensor in order to locate the egg cell.
there are 10 hours for the sperm cell to reach the egg cell.
they are competing so that they will be the one choosen to be an individual or human being.
they will die.

         Fertilization happens in one of the fallopian tubes, which carries an egg from an ovary to the uterus. It can take up to seven days after intercourse for sperm and egg to join and become a fertilized egg. Usually, it's because the sperm gets into the fallopian tube before the egg is released.

        The sperm cell competing because it is only one sperm cell can be accepted during the fertilization, and the other sperm cell who failed in competing will actually die.

        Those sperm cells who failed to reach the egg will actually die.

The sperm cell meet the egg cell during sexual intercourse. When the penis is inserted into the vagina, it will release sperm cells. Due to the acidic environment of the vagina, the sperm cells cannot survive long. When the woman starts to ovulates, her cervix starts to secrete a chemical that would help the sperm to survive.

According to my research, the sperm would know the location of the egg cell by using heat sensors.

It takes about 45 minutes to 12 hours that the sperm would reach the egg cell.

Sperm cells compete because only one sperm can accommodate to the egg cell.

The sperm cells who failed to reach the egg will die.

      Sperm cells are motile cells that can propel themselves by lashing movements of their tails. This characteristics they have is designed for them to survived the acidity of the vagina. It takes one to two hours for sperm to complete the journey up the female duct system to the end of the uterine tubes. When the sperms are deposited in the vagina at the approximate time of ovulation, they are attracted to the oocyte by chemicals that act as "homing devices" allowing them to locate the oocyte. The sperms will really compete for the reason that only one sperm can accommodate the cell. The unsuccessful sperm cells will die inside the uterus and they will absorbed by the body.

 They can survive to the low pH of the vagina for the short period of time because of the prostate fluid, that contains nutrients and proteolytic enzymes and it neutralizes the pH of vagina. The sperm cell know the location of  the egg cell because  sperm's use heat sensors.The location of the egg slightly warmer than where they are. They use the differentation of the temperature to locate the egg cell.It takes 2 - 3 weeks for the sperm cell to reach an egg cell. They are competing because they know that egg cell needs only one sperm and if they don't reach the egg cell they will die. The sperm cell who failed reaching an egg cell will die.
